Funeral Receptions Ministry
The goal of this group of volunteers is very simple – provide hospitality for friends and family of the deceased following the funeral Mass. The Funeral Receptions Ministry provides volunteers for each reception in order to set up and serve beverages and baked goods so that the family need not worry about the needs of those in attendance. This ministry recruits both hostesses and bakers willing to take a turn assisting with this parish offering. Bakers drop homemade goods off at the church prior to the reception, while hostesses coordinate and facilitate the receptions. These hostesses find joy in providing comfort for grieving families, keeping in mind that someone will do it for their families when the time comes. This ministry is always eager to add new volunteers to its rosters.
