Nicholas Stanley Waskiewicz, 39, of Ruther Glen, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 30, 2026, at his home.

Nicholas attended Atlee High School, furthered his education at Virginia Tech, and was a loyal Hokie. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, an accomplishment that reflects his dedication, character, and strong values. Nicholas was employed at Excel Equipment Company in Ashland, VA, where he was highly regarded and respected by his supervisors, colleagues, and the customers he served.

Known for his great sense of humor and jovial personality, Nicholas had a natural ability to make people laugh and feel at ease. He was a devoted NASCAR fan and had a remarkable knack for fixing just about anything. He will be remembered for his warmth, quick wit, and the lasting impression he left on all who knew him.  He was a loving and devoted son and brother, was very close with his parents and brothers, Chris and Stephen, and had warm relationships with his grandparents, especially Mama and Papa, and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his loving parents, Stanley P. Waskiewicz and Sharon Hopkins Waskiewicz; his brothers, Christopher R. Waskiewicz and his wife Tania M. and daughter Sophia Marie of San Marcos, CA, and Stephen A. Waskiewicz of Falls Church; his maternal grandmother, Irene “Mama” Hopkins; three paternal uncles, Kenneth Waskiewicz and his wife Lue, Joseph Waskiewicz, and Michael Waskiewicz; two paternal aunts, Donna Montagna and her husband Sam, and Susan Waskiewicz; one maternal aunt, Patricia Rodenas and her husband Dan;  paternal and maternal cousins, many close and loyal friends, and his faithful and loyal dog Kodi, who rarely left Nick’s side.

A visitation will be held 6-8 PM Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Storke Funeral Home, 111 South Main Street, Bowling Green, VA 22427. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 10, 2026 at St. Mary of the Annunciation, 10306 Ladysmith Road, Ruther Glen,  VA. 22546. A Funeral Mass will be follow at 11:00 AM at the church.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary of the Annunciation or the Caroline Animal Shelter.
